Get ready for some hilarious spooky fun with your fellow stitching addicts!!   We’ll be gathering with the express purpose of catching up on our WIPs (works in progress) -- and if it’s a spooky design, all the better!   We will have access to a stitching room from 8 a.m. to midnight both days so that we can devote ourselves to being stitching fools,  helping each other with our projects, and stash enhancement!!

This retreat was reformatted to accommodate the many “regulars” who begged me to run a non-instructor Spooky Retreat this year so that they could afford to attend and not miss out on their annual Stitcher’s Hideaway stitching adventure -- especially with spooky fun involved!  While this “recession retreat” meets their needs,  I also have a surprise for all those who were dying (how spooky is that?!?) for Dawn Fisher’s Haunted Huswif project!  Dawn has agreed, for the first time ever, to sell three of her class kits at this retreat for $90 each! These kits will include the Haunted Huswif, Lady Washington Sampler, and Alphabet of Stitches.  She will hold mini-sessions to go over each of the kits with anyone who purchases them, and after the sessions she’ll be available for questions and help.  This is a HUGE bargain and fantastic opportunity not only to get the Haunted Huswif, but for anyone who missed the retreats when she taught the other two classes to also purchase those kits!  I’m very thankful to Dawn for agreeing to try out this new format for us!  These class kits will only be made available to those who attend this retreat, and will be distributed at the retreat.

Anything can happen during a Spooky Retreat!  I wonder what the attendees will wear for the occasion -- hehehehe.    There will be an optional Spooky Stitching Exchange -- those who’d like to participate will gift wrap their spooky stitching to exchange with others.   And if you know me at all, you know I’m already plotting mischief for the weekend -- mwha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!  

For those who would like an additional adventure, we can take an optional field trip to Mystic Seaport on Friday night for their Sights and Frights program!  If you prefer to stay and stitch, that’s fine, too! 

And, of course, we MUST have Show ‘n Tell so that we can see what everyone has finished!

Chris & Pam from Chris’s Collection will be on hand to provide us with spooktacular stash enhancement opportunities!! Wheeeeee!!!

Costumes and mayhem are greatly encouraged, so bring it on stitchers!

In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Stitcher’s Hideaway Needlework Retreats, any stitcher that has previously attended a Stitcher’s Hideaway Retreat will receive $10 off the $180 registration cost! As usual, registration will include two delicious catered lunches and dinners.

Stitcher’s Hideaway retreats are very casual and relaxed gatherings.  You can stitch in your jeans, a Halloween costume,  or stitch in your pajamas -- it’s all good!!  If you come by yourself, you’ll quickly find new stitching friends.   Come ready to have a great time!

Mystic is a great spot for a family vacation.  We’ll be right near the Mystic Aquarium, Olde Mystic Village with its 60+ unique shops and restaurants, and Mystic Seaport,  so arrive early or stay later to enjoy the sights!  For more information on Mystic, visit http://www.mysticinfo.com/
