Mystic Stitcher’s Pocket by Thea Dueck
Stitch your very own souvenir of Mystic!
WOW!! Look what Thea created especially for our Mystic Stitcher’s Hideaway Retreat!! The Mystic Stitcher’s Pocket and Accessories are stitched on soft blue green 28 ct linen, using delectable silk flosses, beads, overdyed silks, and other charms. This delightful Mystic Stitcher’s Pocket will win your heart as you stitch the wonderful New England coastal village, tall ship and lighthouse. Two cute stitchers represent the stitchers who come to this Hideaway. The lovely silk ribbon Rose technique is easy and fun to learn! The Pocket is stitched on front and back, as shown, and you even have a choice of two different needlebooks! There is enough room in the Pocket to carry your Mystic Scissors Case and the matching Mystic Scissors Fob. And who can resist Thea’s yummy Mystic Needle Tuffet! It's simply adorable with its sweet little roses! This entire design is suitable for a beginning through intermediate specialty stitcher. Come and stitch this adorable needleworker's souvenir of Mystic with us!
*The kit includes enough materials, beads, charms and 28 ct Confederate Grey linen for all the pieces. There is even some extra antique white linen with which to finish the bottom of your tuffet with the easy instructions.
*You will receive pre-homework in the mail so that you can prepare your linen on your roller bars, sort your threads ahead, and so you can stitch the Kloster Blocks of the Pocket for the class.
*Please bring sharp pointy 3.5" embroidery scissors suitable for Hardanger.
*Bring your usual sewing supplies including small tape measure, pencil and paper, light colored sewing thread for basting, some extra tapestry needles, straight pins or counting pins, magnification and light if needed. Remember you are stitching on fine linen, so be prepared to add to the classroom lighting!
*Thea recommends that you use a roller bar set to stretch your linen. They are versatile and light to pack. However, you may want to bring Q snaps or hoops…or work in your hand. These are individual choices. The linen pieces will not be wider than 12".
