2017 Fun Report

The Making Memories in Mystic retreat gave us an opportunity to gather together for some cozy stitching time just 3 weeks before Christmas, and it was just perfect! We brought along our own stitching projects to work on for 3 full days and nights. Some of us worked on Christmas gifts, and several of us finished our projects while we were there.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Mystic, CT, which was a great location for us. The lobby was decked out for the holidays. We had roomy guest rooms and a fantastic complimentary breakfast awaiting us each morning! It was SO nice. They had different hot items for us each day. In the evening they had a complimentary Hot Cocoa Bar, too! Our meals were catered by Mystic Market and they were outstandingly delicious!

Upon arrival each stitcher received a Fun Pack of donated goodies from 123Stitch, Amy Bruecken Designs, Elizabeth’s Designs, Kreinik, Morning Glory Needleworks, Rosewood Manor, Samplers & Such, Stitchers Hideaway, Tempting Tangles Designs, Udder Cream, Victoria Sampler and Weeks Dye Works!

Linda from Maine traveled the farthest -- and she received a prize for that of a whole yard of gorgeous linen!

We also had great door prizes! They came from 123Stitch, Amy Bruecken Designs, Morning Glory Needleworks, Stitchers Hideaway, Victoria Sampler, Weeks Dye Works, and With My Needle. It’s always fun to see the different door prizes!

We had several Show ‘n Tell sessions, but you can just imagine that we were sharing what we were working on with each other all throughout the retreat. So many designs!!! So many fabulous designers!!! And we heard great stories of stitching adventures, too. Here’s a sampling...
